Waldport is the perfect location to begin the journey to find all the wonderful places and sights that are within reach.
Hop in the car, truck, motor-home or any other mode of transportation and for this journey head South from Waldport. First stop is Yachats.
A cool village with several great restaurants and friendly spots to stop for some refreshments. Then on South to Cape Perpetua for a spectacular view of the ocean that stretches as far as the eye can see.
After that head North again to Newport and then East on Hwy 20 to Toledo. Toledo a small town has a lot to see and a main street full of shops and cool restaurants including J & J Soup Bowl with it’s canine greeter! Explore Toledo and its architecture before heading West to Newport.
Heading to Newport from Toledo take Yaquina Bay Road for a wonderful and beautiful drive along Yaquina bay with a stop at the Oregon Oyster Farms for some delectable Oysters for later consumption.
The drive is very scenic and takes you right into Newport’s Historic Bayfront. Let your eyes feast on the multitude of sights on the Bayfront.
From the Wax Museum to the funky Bay Haven tavern there is plenty to see and do in Newport. And that’s not counting the vast amount of shopping one can do if you head from the Bayfront up into Newport proper.
