Is it time for a new car or truck? I’m sure many would say “yes” but with many out of work due to Covid it might be hard to pull off.
However, I have two neighbors who just bought a new truck and new car. Amazing part of their purchases was that both vehicles were delivered and their trade ins were driven away! Talk about ease of the deal!
However, I’m going to get nostalgic here and talk about vehicle buying back when I first bought my first car. It as a 49 Ford and I bought it from my neighbor. The brakes were OK but not great, and the transmission was the kind that you had to coax into each gear, but it was mine and I loved it. I must have washed and waxed it a thousand times before I eventually sold it and upgraded to a 55
Chevy. Now in those days car shopping meant going in person to the vehicle and first looking at it, than taking it for a test drive, checking it out mechanically, then dickering with the seller over the price. It was a total experience and often quite time consuming.
But that was a different time and the difference between vehicles then and now is like night and day.
Today vehicles are built better in my opinion. In the old days if a vehicle ran that was a plus. In fact I remember parking on a hill so if my car wouldn’t start I’d just roll it downhill, pop the clutch and off we’d go! However, today it you can afford it, buying a truck or car can be easy.
Just go to one of the many online vehicle sellers, choose what you want and with the click of the computer moose and wham, it’s a done deal! So as time flies so do vehicles, it may be different, but according to folks I know who’ve done it it’s the best way to go!! Happy vehicle shopping.
