This time of year the gardens around Waldport are different degrees of beautiful. I think we ought to thank the gardeners who’ve provided us with the beautiful sights.
There are several kinds of gardens but the ones I’m talking about are those that are individual home ones for beauty possibly growing some small produce like lettuce., carrots and other goodies. And of course the community gardens.
I have no green thumb but I did work one summer at a plant nursery so I’m familiar with those folks who buy pants and then grow gardens. The community gardens are managed by several individuals Where as the home garden is usually managed by one person. These gardeners are passionate about their gardens and work tirelessly at keeping them in top shape. Some know very inch of the ground they grow on and meticulously plant according to a set plan, while others plant willy nilly and let nature set it’s course.
The next part of gardening is the key to beauty. Tending to the garden to keep it looking good. Here’s where watering, fertilizing, trimming and of course weeding comes in This what separates the great gardeners from the good gardeners, there are no bad gardeners, some are just better than average.
All in all, I really appreciate the bight colorful plots of manicured
foliage that gardeners provide for us! And thanks to the community gardens for what they give to folks that need it. And thanks all of those with green thumbs that are using them!
