Here come the Holidays! Thanksgiving and Christmas. As they say “It’s that time of year”. It’s that time for sure if you are making travel plans or family reunion plans this time of year. Time is rapidly passing by as those of you that are planing know.
The Holidays are also good for folks here on the Central Oregon Coast that deal with the visitors that come here to spend their Holidays and enjoy their surroundings. It’s great to see a group of visitors having a meal at a eating and drinking establishment and having a great time telling each other about something they’ve discovered and enjoyed this visit.
For those here that don’t have family there are several organizations like The Moose that have Holiday celebrations as do the many Church’s. It’s a time to be festive!
Then there are the advertising campaigns that make the Holidays appear to be perfect. They can be a far cry from reality but they make everything look great. And the music, you will know every Christmas Carol by heart after the Holidays are over!
However, we really know that the Holidays require folks to treat each other with kindness, respect, and understanding. They are a time to count your blessings and pass on the good blessings to those in need. We don’t need the Holidays to remind us that we are fortunate to be in this wonderful part of the world so share the Holiday Sprint with one another and have a great season!
