Where I live you can’t have pets, it’s in the lease, but around here a lot of people have pets and I salute those who have and take great care of them. They have a special bond between each other and it runs deep. For this article I’ll narrow it down to dogs and cats although there are many other kinds of wonderful pets
Last year over 60 Billion dollars were spent on pets and pet related merchandise. Yep, there is a special bond for sure, and it’s great when you see a dog sitting happily in the drivers seat while it’s human is in the store. Or the happy dog with it’s head out the window of the car or truck barreling down the road.
Then there are cats. Whole different attitudes than dogs. Seems like most dogs are eager to please and are ready to have fun. But most cats appear to do only what they want to do. In short they think they rule the world! Don’t get me wrong, I like cats but they tend to be self centered and aloof unless it’s time for them to eat and they don’t hesitate to let you know it’s that time.
My favorite pet story to date is the puppy what was born with it’s front feet upside down. Well the Veterinarian’s at Oklahoma State University did surgery on the puppy’s feet and corrected the situation. The puppy is now recovering and is expected to live a normal life! Now to me that spells pet love and dedication!
Enjoy your pets and shower them with love and great care and if you see someone abusing an helpless animal, turn them in!!
