Congratulations to the University of Oregon’s football team on becoming the 2020 PAC 12 Champions with their victory over The University of Southern California. Of course there will be some folks that say that the U of O backed into the finals because The University of Washington couldn’t field a team because of Covid-19 but hey, this is 2020 right? Anything goes in this crazy year.
So on to other things. I’m confused when auto dealers advertise “Employee Discounts” on new vehicles. If you are an employee you get a discount on product your company sells. This is because you are a good employee and the discount is your reward. Now that anyone can get that discount, as an employee what is your motivation to keep being good employee when everyone gets the same deal you could get? Well, as I’ve said before, it’s 2020!
Next on the list is the wild weather here on the Central Oregon Coast. So after some serious rain and wind there was a lot of flooding in low lying areas and the rivers were running high and fast.
One way was to look it was “great storm watching” weather and the other was to look at it was “I hope the damage wasn’t to bad and that the mess isn’t too hard to clean up.” At least it wasn’t snow like they got back East. That would have been a giant mess and we coastal dwellers would have had a heck of a time negotiating that.
On the bright side of things, the Christmas lights that are up in Coastal towns and neighbor hoods are very sparkly and colorful this year. They are a bright and shining light of hope and good times ahead. Get out and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season and Peace and Love to all!!
