A View From Here.
Sights, sounds and smells. The Trilogy of life; how you see it, what it sounds like to you, and how things smell to you. Obviously each person is different and each situation is different and since we are dealing with individuals it’s kind of fun to see how different scenarios effect all of us!
For example, two people sitting on the same park bench can be hearing different things while both are listening to the radio. The song they are listening to is an easy listening mellow song but one person is a rock music fan, the other a country music fan so they are both listening to the song in their favorite music way. One leans towards rock, the other country.
It’s really hard to come up with sights, sounds or smells that are universally the same to many folks but there are some. If something smells really bad, everyone smelling can agree it stinks! If something is too loud, everyone complains. If something is strikingly beautiful, we’ll all usually agree it’s beautiful.
It’s amazing when you hear folks talking about something both have seen or heard but both have seen it differently. It usually leads to a great conversation like the infamous “glass half full or glass half empty” way of living. It depends on your individual preferences.
However I think there is one thing we can all agree on. That being The Central Oregon Coast is a great place to live and visit. I get to travel quite a bit and it’s always wonderful to get back. You can’t beat the scenery, it’s something to see, to hear the quiet sound of night except for the ocean, and to smell the Coastal air. Yes, the Trilogy of life is alive and well here.
