Sometimes I wish I was back in the days of using a Horse for transportation instead of relying on a Car! Especially when the car needs to be fixed. Of course you have to maintain a Horse to make sure it runs and lives well, but that seems fairly simple compared to fixing a Car, and I’m guessing it’s a bit cheaper. However, the bottom line is that both the Horses and Cars have to be well cared for to make sure they both can do their jobs as best as possible.
Here on The Central Oregon Coast we are fortunate that both Horses and Cars can be well cared for and maintained. There are some excellent Car mechanics in several Coastal cities and some outstanding veterinarians to take care of your Horses. Plus I think that folks around here are very aware of the condition their Cars and Horses and stay on top of making sure that both are in top notch condition.
It’s bad news if one or the other are in bad shape and breakdown. Being without transportation around here is not a good thing, The Central Oregon Coast covers a lot of territory and being stranded here isn’t a very pleasurable scenario.
So as we give thanks for all the good things we are fortunate to have, give some thanks to our forms of transportation and for the mechanics and veterinarians that take care of them. They are very important and key elements in our getting around and enjoying life in this great part of the world!
