This is going to be a great World Series in Baseball, both teams won by outlasting the rest of their rivals with great pitching and clutch hitting. But more than anything both teams, The Washington Nationals and The Huston Astros, had a group of players who played together and took care of one another. If one player was struggling another player picked up the slack.
This is how good teams win in Sports and that’s how we here on The Central Oregon also act. If someone is down and needs a bit of help folks here chip in and help. It’s one of the advantages of living in an area where many folks know each other. It’s a nice feeling when you can go to the grocery store or Post Office or other places and run into someone you may have seen lately or someone you haven’t seen in awhile and within minutes you are in a conversation. You can catch up on the latest news and of course the latest gossip!
If you live in a big city, and I’m not against big cities, I was born in one, often the only folks you see on a regular basis are those that you deal with directly, like in a job situation. Once you leave work you hardly ever see anyone you know until the next working day! However, here you are likely going to run into an acquaintance as soon as you go anywhere. I suppose there are those who prefer to live in autonomy but having lived in both scenarios I much prefer the community aspect of The Central Oregon Coast and I’m sure glad there are a bunch of others that do as well! Cheers folks!!
